全球首款無糖能量飲料 XS 於 1 月 22 日一連兩晚在 HMV Kafe 舉行了「XS Young & Fun Night」，其品牌共同創辦人 David Vanderveen 亦特別來港參與盛會。活動於晚上 7 時正式開始，節目包括有 DJ Hitomi.K 打碟、Live band 即場演唱、表演踢躂和 Beatboxing，令全場氣氛一度推至高點。XS 更為今年派對特別研製 3 款分別以陽光雜果味、西柚味以及蔓越莓味 XS 能量飲品製成，會場限定的 Cocktails 招待在場人士，一改傳統能量飲品的賣相、味道及形象。
是次為品牌共同創辦人 David Vanderveen 自 XS 2015 年打入香港市場後首次來港向傳媒分享對運動市場之看法，並透露今年有意擴大宣傳策略，推動 XS 與本地企業及運動員之間的合作，令更多人認識 XS 和其優勢。XS 能量飲料在國外一直大受熱棒，並被譽為最健康的能量飲品。XS 除了無糖外，接近零熱量不會對身體造成負擔，同時 XS 是第一款多口味、含多種維生素及男女老少都可以喝的能量飲料。有別於傳統能量飲品，XS 不但能夠「補充能量」，更可「激發能量」，助你超越自己，成就更高！

Q1: How did XS Energy Drink start? What is the inspiration behind?
• XS started to bring a new consumer into the energy drink category. Our goal was to find a new product to disrupt the category and find an alternative distribution platform. Amway was the perfect partner. Amway business owners are our secret weapon. When we tested XS in grocery stores prior to launch we were attracting moms, who is the buyer for the home, to purchase by the case. 20% of foot traffic were purchasing. Only 8% of these were purchasing energy drinks before the purchase of XS (2001). We wanted to transform the experience for people searching for positive energy sources. It wasn’t just healthier, it also tastes great, offers multiple flavors, and uses mega doses of B vitamins as well as introduced the opportunity behind the can. We wanted to let people own a piece of this product and reward people who spread the news of this positive energy. Amway provided us
with the platform to do that.
Q2: What will you say to young people nowadays who would like to start up their own business?
• Now more than ever it is important to have equity in something. The disparity between the rich and poor is driven by those who have equity and those that don’t. The problem is, it is not easy to start your own business or the resources to purchase equity. What we are offering with XS, through the Amway platform, is the ability for anyone to create the life they want to live through business ownership instead of the life someone can offer them through normal a job. That doesn’t mean it’s easy, starting any business is hard work, but we are trying to make it fun too. We are trying to help people learn to love to work and make work like play. And to create a lower risk, easier opportunity for people to enter the world of entrepreneurship.
Q3: What do you think about HK energy drink market?
• HK is a modern and progressive city. Global energy drinks are popular here and the market is growing quickly. They are growing twice the inflation rate which means it is a big opportunity for those interested in starting a business. More importantly, HK knows the importance of lifestyle brands. You see it everywhere on the streets. HK has embraced the ideas of driving growth through innovation and entrepreneurship as a culture. It is the perfect combination for a brand like XS.
Q4: What is your plan on XS energy drink in the near future? Will there be new flavour? Or will the company sponsor more Asian athletes?
• XS is expanding rapidly through Asian markets. We are not just adding new flavors but adding new categories like Sports Nutrition. Which means we will be working with more events, athletes, and business owners in the HK community. Amway HK will provide more details as new launches accrue.
